On 13 July 2022, Director Cormac Cullinan will join investigative journalist, Tiara Walters, and author, Mikaa Mered, as they shine a light on secretive world of the Antarctic Treaty.

Antarctica — a climate-threatened wilderness five times bigger than Australia — is ruled by an elite club who meet behind closed doors. In this webinar, hosted by the Daily Maverick's Burning Planet section, Director Cormac Cullinan will join investigative journalist, Tiara Walters, and author of 'The Polar Worlds', Mikaa Mered, as they attempt to shine a light on this secretive world and answer a key questions facing the treaty: Is it still fit for purpose six decades after entering into force? Or is it time to recognise the rights of Antarctica?
