Declaration for Antarctica Rights

WRITTEN BY

Katrina Lehmann-Grube

We are part of a movement to recognise Antarctica, and its associated and dependent communities, as an autonomous, rights-bearing community.

In order to celebrate and protect the beautiful continent we know as Antarctica, the surrounding waters and its community of life; we are part of a movement to create a new Declaration for the Rights of Antarctica. This declaration aims to establish a new eco-centric vision to guide people’s interaction with – and responsibilities toward – Antarctica for centuries to come.
